Supernatural Service Chp. 1

The sun was just creeping over the horizon. Birds began to sing their joyful song merriment. The light brightly beaming through the silk curtains hitting my cheek with a soft sense of warmth.I found myself stretched across my bed with my wife between my arm. My love, sweet and beautiful, still asleep as she was awakened by the feel of my lips upon her cheek. Her rose red like cheeks, her luscious red hair, and her loving, slumbering smile. She was flawless in my eye, down to the smallest detail. Just the sight at her at times gave me a certain pleasant feeling at times. She had given me a stern look into my eyes. It seemed as though her hazel eyes gazed right through my heart and soul, searching for an untruth but never finding one. After starring at me for a decent period of time, she seemed satisfied in what she for and confirmed this with a soft kiss, "Good morning my love." She whispered as she laid her head back upon my chest. "Good Morning Darling," I replied. "Did you sleep well?" She nodded remaining silent. "What's wrong?" I asked "I feel like... as if I'm going to lose you.." She mumbled slightly. "What, What on Earth do you mean? I'll always be here." "What I mean Alex, is that I have a bad feeling that something is gonna happen to you." Her worry was so great that it burrowed into my mind as if something was going to happen. She seemed to have a tear in her eye. "No no, don't cry for my sweet, I'll be fine as long as I have you at  my side. Now, I have to go check the mail." I moved her gently aside as I got up. I put on my robe and went outside to the mailbox. Inside, there was an orange envelope with red markings that were very distracting to the eye. On the cover it read: "An Urgent Request From The Government..." I quickly tore open the letter reading silently to myself,
"Greetings:
              You are hereby ordered for introduction into the Armed forces of the United States, and and to report:
                 An ASSEMBLY OF ARMS. You have been drafted for two tours in the war between Vietnam. Your position will vary on your physical and mental strength, Your attendance is qualified."
My eyes were wide open with astonishment. "A military call?..." I echoed through my head throughout my head as I walked back in the house. Melony, My love, waited smiling in the kitchen, but her happiness slowly turned to worry when she saw how pale and afraid I had became, "What's the matter dear?" She asked. I remained silent and gave her the papers. The worry instantly changed to fear as she began to read the dreadful note. "You.... you can't..." she mumbled clenching onto my arm. "I have to.. I have to cooperate with them or else." I said with a sigh. "NO!" she yelled ripping away from me. "How could they do this!? They must know that your family needs you! Your children, I need you here Alex! They can't take you away from me!" She cried with tears rolling down her cheeks. My silence remained unbroken as I walked to my room reaching for my suitcase "What do you think your doing?!" she asked sternly following me. I stopped and turned to her finally breaking my silence, "I'm going.." I said flatly. The terror in her fear-filled eyes grew stronger as my ambition increased. She somewhat understood the seriousness I projected, though she want to deny the circumstances.......
